Welcome to 5th Grade!
My name is Anne Dickau. I am honored and excited to be your 5th grade teacher. Fifth grade is an especially great year because you are the oldest students at Kennedy. That means as 5th graders we are the leaders and we get to do very cool stuff, like go on out-of-town field trips, join Student Council, and be part of the Annual Kennedy Wax Museum.
I've taught 5th grade for a really long time and I've learned that 5th graders can do anything they set their mind to do. My job is to support you and encourage you all year long. I'd like to stay in close communication with both you and your parents, so feel free to ask questions, send notes and make calls. I'll do the same. |
When I'm not having a great time with you at Kennedy in Room 143, I like to play with my dog Jake (who is too afraid to come to school), bake cookies, and run. I never win, but I always finish.
I have two children- all grown up and three grandchildren. I started out in California but have lived in Minnesota for quite a while. After a few rocky winters, I've learned to buy the right shoes, own a warm coat and love living in the Land of 10,000 Lakes.
Best Wishes, Mrs. Dickau |
